An

Atheist's

Delusion

About the Author

Martin L. Braden was born in Boise, Idaho, and lived there until the age of nineteen when, as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, he was called to serve a mission in the Gulf States, which consisted of the southern states of Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, and the western half of Tennessee. Upon returning home from his two years of missionary service, Martin attended college at Boise State University where his focus of studies was on the Fine Arts and Business Management, which Martin has used repeatedly throughout his forty-five-year career consulting small businesses.

Seven months after returning home from his mission, Martin met and fell in love with a young woman, Kathleen Smart, and six months later they were married and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. Martin has said that God made Kathleen beautiful so that Martin would ask Kathleen to marry him, and then made Kathleen dumb so that she would say yes. Kathleen has been the love of Martin's life for forty-six years and counting, and they are the proud parents of eight children and fifteen grandchildren.

During Martin's early years as a husband and father, Martin provided for his family by taking on several sales jobs with local businesses throughout Boise. After eight years of living in Boise, Martin and Kathleen moved their small family to West Covina California. After just two years in West Covina, Martin and Kathleen decided to make their long-term home in Bountiful Utah. For the rest of Martin's career, he worked with hundreds of small business owners along the Wasatch Front, providing a permission-based email marketing service that helped his owner-clients expand their customer base.

For the last five years of his career, Martin worked as a Sr. account manager for an Internet Marketing company called TopTenReviews.com, which is a website that provides reviews of products and services manufactured by large companies like Intuit, Microsoft, Adobe, and Norton Anti-virus to name just a few. During his time with TopTenReviews.com Martin earned more than one-and-a-half million dollars before the company closed out his department, but that financial boon allowed Martin to become 100% debt free, including his home and vehicles. Martin’s success as a Sr. account manager not only allowed him to become debt free, but it also allowed him the luxury to invest his full time to research and then write his book An Atheist's Delusion, which was inspired by the need Martin saw for helping individuals who had experienced or were still experiencing cognitive dissonance about their faith and God's existence.

Another reason Martin wrote An Atheist's Delusion, was due to a request that was made of him to read Richard Dawkins' anti-Theist/anti-Christ book The God Delusion. After reading Richard's book, Martin felt driven to take on the formidable task of rebutting Mr. Dawkins' arguments against the existence of God, as well as his hatred for religion itself, by giving his Latter-Day Saint perspective on each of Richard's arguments. It's important to note that Martin's perspective comes from a lifetime of study, daily prayer, and personal experience with God and His Son Jesus Christ, both of whom he loves with all his heart, might, mind and strength.

Martin's consumption of literally hundreds of well-informed, highly endorsed resources, and in particular the revealed words of both past, as well as modern-day living apostles and prophets, have provided Martin with a plethora of evidence that supports both the reality of God's existence, as well as Martin's claim that it is not he who suffers from a God delusion, but that it is in fact Mr. Dawkins who is suffering from An Atheist’s Delusion.

About the Book

"In his soon to be bestseller, Martin Braden, a humble follower of Jesus Christ and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, delivers a fascinating, uniquely insightful, impassioned perspective of Richard Dawkins’s anti-Theist/anti-Christ book The God Delusion, especially Richard's interpretation of the data surrounding the earth and man’s origin. From his Latter-Day Saint perspective, Braden’s punctilious attention to detail subjugates Dawkins’s arguments against faith and religion by providing an extensive compilation of several types of evidence which gradually moves one’s belief cursor along Dawkins’s percentage of probability spectrum until it lands squarely on the high probability that God does in fact exist. Braden's case against Dawkins claim that faith is just blind faith, is made up of multiple, well-informed, highly endorsed types of evidence.. Reading Braden’s conspicuously adept, thought-provoking, and surprisingly enlightening perspective offers his readers a transformational experience. Both the theist, as well as the atheist, will come away feeling an increased desire to re-examine the stability of their own circular support stand upon which their table of belief rests."
"An Atheist's Delusion offers a powerful perspective on the two most prominent interpretations of how the origin of the universe and the world in which we live came to be. It’s going to turn some heads."

“Everyone should read it. Theists will love Mr. Braden’s incisive logic and ability to reach intelligent conclusions about the two most prominent interpretations of humankinds’ miraculous origin. Atheists and agnostics alike will find no better match to their arguments.” –

“As the theists’ Caravan of Truth moves placidly across the arid desert of doubt, atheists, like yapping dogs, continuously bark vitriol at their heels, yet Braden, a life-long Latter-Day Saint, simply pays them no mind saying, 'The dogs bark but this caravan’s moving on’.” –

“As truth seekers move on towards the Golden City where all truth will one day be circumscribed into one great whole, Braden offers his readers answers to the ‘Big’ questions but gives the warning that the words of the prophets, both past and present, should not be discounted. ‘The consequences of such foolish abandonment’, Braden says, 'will be devastatingly irreparable to one’s eternal destiny'.” –

“Historic, Origin, and Operational science cannot and should not be taken as absolute proof”, Braden says, “especially when the science being debated is historic in nature. This kind of science requires that scientists only give their best interpretation of what the available data says might have happened millennia ago.” –
